Nanotube-enhanced materials

Materials with single wall carbon nanotubes demonstrate an improved range of properties, including homogeneous and permanent conductivity, enhanced mechanical performance, extended durability, and improved efficiency.

OCSiAl has developed more than 40 graphene nanotube products aimed at enhancing polymer materials, including thermosets, thermoplastics, elastomers, and electrochemical power sources.

Single wall carbon nanotubes significantly improve properties in polymer materials such as rubbers (EPDM, FKM, NBR, NR/BR, SBR), silicones (HCR, LSR, RTV), latexes (NBR latex, PU latex), thermoset resins (acrylic, epoxy, melamine, phenolic, polyester, polyurethane, vinyl-ester), and various thermoplastics, as well as materials used in anodes and cathodes.

Single wall carbon nanotubes in Li-ion batteries provide fast charging, a high energy density, a longer life cycle, and enhanced safety, enabling mass production of EVs and next-gen electronics.

Nanotubes add conductivity to a wide range of coatings while also enhancing key mechanical properties, including adhesion, abrasion resistance, and impact strength.

Single wall carbon nanotubes in elastomers unlock a unique combination of conductivity, elasticity, durability, and energy-saving, making it possible to fully meet the global trends of electrification and sustainability.

SWCNTs in thermoplastics provide conductivity with no adverse effect on other parameters. Furthermore, nanotubes enhance mechanical properties and improve processability and morphology as a nucleating agent.
